Day 27 May this toaster live a long life!
Hi y'all 🀠 once again πŸ˜€!
They just don't make things like they used to.

Last year I bought a toaster from eBay. It was a good deal and a nice looking Pioneer woman flower one. It worked well -- for a month or so. Then the heating element on the insides weren't heating up all the way.
Nothing like half toasted bread 🍞 eh? We used it for awhile ( I even pulled out the bread and flipped it around to get both sides done. That got old quick!

Then there was a sale at dollar general a toaster for five bucks!
They were out of them at the one by us, so we drove to the next one. There was one left!
We were happy until we used it and it was overheating, burnt the toast and the metal outside was scary hot. We took it back.
Then we had no toaster again.

We went to Walmart and couldn't believe how much most of them were. $80 is way too much so we settled for $30 and a Black and Decker. They made good tools so at least we knew the brand.

It lasted about five months and either overcooked or under cooked the toast or English muffins. Arrggg!

Last August my niece ( more like a daughter!) Needed a toaster as school was starting and the grandkids could make Eggo or something in the morning!

She had spent most of her money on school clothes, shoes and the whole shebang!

I looked on Amazon and read reviews until I found one a Bella, that people who had the same problem as us, were raving about! It was turquoise her favorite color too and not metal outside.

It still works and I've never heard a problem with it.

So my black Friday deal was one of those for $20.00 ( less than the first one!)
It came today and on the setting of four,we had a nice muffin.
Five was too hot! Oops 😬

🀞 Hoping this one will live a long happy life!

Things used to be made in America and we're built with pride. They were meant to last. TV s, washers dryers, furniture, etc.
Then people started buying cheap, press board became the norm. I remember when we lived in Georgia, in 1997 a storm knocked out our TV. We went to buy a new one at Best Buy. We couldn't find an American-made TV, the guy said the TVs were now made in Mexico.

Now they come from China because we don't make much of anything here in the USA anymore.

I don't get it, yeah it's cheaper but what are we really getting πŸ€”?
We need jobs here and to teach making quality. But just like fast food we have fast everything.
And it will continue to fall apart faster.

Oh well just keep reading reviews and hope for the best I guess!

Happy thanksgiving at any rate!
