Community Note (cNote)
Icon: Upgraded Membership (Small) Community Notes (cNotes) are virtual greeting cards designed by and organized into collections of varying themes, images, and wording for different occasions by Upgraded members and above. All members may then access these collections and send a cNote to other Writing.Com members, who receive these personal cards right in their Writing.Com email. There is no need to leave the community to pick them up somewhere else. cNotes are instant and automatic making it a wonderful way to show your appreciation or bring a smile to someone's face.

Gift Points are required for this feature or tool. Members may set a Gift Point fee for their cNotes or offer them for free. In addition, Writing.Com requires a 250 Gift Point fee for each card sent. This is automatically added on to the cNote owner's fee and withdrawn from your Gift Point account if you send one, making cNotes very easy for members to use!

Want to send an cNote to another Writing.Com member? Then peruse our members' cNote collections and find the perfect card for the occasion. Find the listing by clicking on Browse by Type in the main navigation menu on the left side of the Writing.Com screen and choosing Community Notes. You can narrow your search by typing in a keyword or phrase, such as "Father's Day," in the item search box.

Community Note Items are created just like any other item type on Writing.Com. There are two methods for creating and saving them. You can select the Create New Item link in the navigation under the Writing.Com logo, then scroll down and click on Community Note. Or, you can go to your Portfolio and select Create Item just below your Portfolio tab. Select Community Note from the links that drop down. In either case, follow the instructions in the Create a Community Note Item window.

For information about creating and editing a Community Note, please see "Create/Edit a cNoteOpen in new Window.. After you create your cNote item, you will need to add individual notes to your collection. You may need to upload any images that you plan to use for your cNotes (see:"ImageOpen in new Window.). After you have uploaded your images into your portfolio, then you can manage your cNote item and finally set up each card! For complete information on this step, see "Manage a cNoteOpen in new Window..1
