Welcome to my blog: I intend to share heartfelt writing about anything that comes to mind. |
Take UP Your Cross Prompt: Who is your favorite character in the Bible? What is your favorite story? Write about your answer to these two questions and tell us why they are your favorite. Answer: I have several favorites. It is hard to pick just one. I guess if I had to pick just one aside from Jesus because we know the whole Bible is all about him, I would choose Solomon. When I was a kid, it was David and the story of David and Goliath. Now I guess you could say my favorite story is the story of Joseph. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ PROMPT May 3rd What was the best thing that happened in your life over the weekend? Looking at the week ahead, what are your goals and how will you motivate yourself to achieve them? I actually sold about $28 in crafts and worked on making more. This is a big accomplishment for me. I worked on my Bible study which I am still trying to finish but needed a little break from it. I decided to write my blog real quick. What are my goals for this week? 1. Get the entries judged and winners announced for Poetry Contest Of The Month. 2. Walk 30 minutes a day for a minimum of three days. 3. Go grocery shopping. 4. Rest a little. 5. Do some housecleaning 6. Enjoy some sunshine. My plan is to take one day at a time, and accomplish as much as I can each day. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This week's Bible study is still under construction 🚧 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Are you in the need for prayer? Let us know here and we will pray for you.

Now accepting entries for May ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This is the link to the group I do these Scripture writings with on Facebook if anyone else is interested in doing so also. https://www.facebook.com/groups/dailyscripturewritingplan/?ref=share Scripture writing - 1 John 4:1-6 Scripture: 1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: 3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. 4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. 5 They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them. 6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error. Observations: Verse 1- Don't believe everything you hear. Test it. Verse 2- Every spirit that confesses Christ is come in flesh is of God. Verse 3- Every spirit that does not confess Christ came in the flesh, is not of God. Verse 4- We are of God, and they have already been defeated. Greater is the Spirit of God that is in us than the spirits in the world. Verse 5- They are of the world. The world hears them because they speak the same things. Verse 6- We are of God. God hears us. Anyone not of God does not hear us.This is how we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error. Application: We need to be able to discern between the spirit of truth and the spirit of error. These verses tell us how to tell them apart. Prayer: Dear God, Thank you for giving us discernment. Thank you for never leaving us alone. Let us always remember to test the spirits so we know what is truth and avoid confusion. In Christ's name, Amen ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Gratitude List 1. Snacks 2. Sun sets 3. Water 4. Rent money 5. The bank 6. Pharmacy 7. Hand sanitizer 8. Face masks 9. Medicine 10. Lotion ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Prompt: Here’s John Steinbeck describing a sunset in The Grapes of Wrath: “A large drop of sun lingered on the horizon and then dripped over and was gone, and the sky was brilliant over the spot where it had gone, and a torn cloud, like a bloody rag, hung over the spot of its going. And dusk crept over the sky from the eastern horizon, and darkness crept over the land from the east.” What do you think of sunsets and how would you describe one? I love to watch the sun set. When I us little girl my grandmother would take me out on the front porch with her so we could watch the sun set together. I don't think I could ever tire of it. Sunsets are beautiful, and each one is unique. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Prompt: I was cruising the galaxy with Hawk, The Bird Man and found this planet winklett (240) Read this item:
Write about this item in your Blog entry today. I like the way the poem takes the shape of a flag. I find stuff like this quite creative. It sounds like a good summary of Labor Day to me. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Day 3089: May 3, 2021 Prompt: Use these words in your entry: rug, lumpy, pigeon, wind, clouds, and palm. For the record, these are one of my least favorite type of blog prompt, but I realize other people enjoy it. I won’t complain. I'm just felt the need to express myself. Sorry, I am kind of moody today. 🤷♀️ I stood on the lumpy rug on the front porch to watch the pigeon fly against the wind, the palm trees swaying, and the clouds floating softly by.
