Pirouette

Ballerina on point
dances with swanlike grace,
disciplined artistry,
a moment of kindling,
spinning round and around.
​​​​​​​
Spinning round and around
the earth circles the sun
within designed constraint
while we stumble, untrained,
through the spiral of time.
