We live much of life amid unique choices. Joy is anchored in The One beyond our life. |
What's it like to win a game you have no right to win? What's it like to serve the Lord with nothing left to give? What's it like to know the past, and know the future's good? What's it like to be redeemed when nothing says you could? What's it like to face the sea with soldiers at your back? What's it like to have no food, but never have a lack? What's it like to know your job is coming to an end, but see it's just as it should be with no more days to tend? A parent's job is honorable. We teach, and step aside. We watch the infant, now adult, with loving, godly pride. A parent's life is best described as "giving 'til the gift becomes a giver of their own, that HIStory does lift." "Unnecessary" is the goal, but is it really that? Is there no more, that I can do? The thought just falls quite flat. The daily task of propping up, and helping her to be will soon be done as new day shows responsibility. What's it like to cheer her on, and be here left behind? What's it like to see the plan, so honorable and kind? It's like Creation He did launch to bless His dear loved ones. He started what He always keeps, and daily loves His sons. by Jay O’Toole on March 15th, 2022 |
