The industry is/was your town/area noted for?
Roundup was named for the geological formations that made keeping cattle corralled at a time when they did big cattle drives. "Roundup them up" here. Then Roundup, after that went away, became known for coal. Lots of coal. Many immigrants from Europe moved here. Irish, Eastern Europeans, Chinese, a real melting pot. We still have one large coal mine operating and it's a big employer.
More recently Roundup has had the dubious notoriety of being an easy county in which to obtain Medicaid. Lots of not too wealthy people here of all ages. But the pendulum does swing and now we are becoming a bedroom community for Billings, only 45 miles away. I at one time in my life drove 60 miles to work, so it can be done.
There is no public transportation here. And now, with the price of gas, we'll see what happens next.
