4 blackberries
1 slice habanero
2 oz Canadian blended whisky
1 oz lemon juice
1/2 oz Chambord
1/2 oz simple syrup
Seltzer or club soda

Muddle blackberries with habanero. Shake all ingredients except seltzer together with ice. Strain into cocktail glass with two ice cubes and top with seltzer.

Fun Trek fact: While everyone knows Shatner and Nimoy were Canadian, it's not as well known that James Doohan (Scotty) was also from the Great White North.

You can substitute other hot peppers for the habanero and/or adjust the quantity thereof according to your taste.

Simple syrup: Equal volumes water and white granulated sugar (say 1 cup each), heat until sugar is dissolved, let cool. Store leftovers in closed container in stasis device (fridge) for future consumption. Or do what I sometimes do and use a replicator (that is, buy it premade from the liquor store).

This drink will change the laws of physics, at least on a local level.
