Andre's Blog Monkey Prompts-WCs 110, 74, 95

Yes, I thought I would check them out, as I've only got time on my hands...


Category 1 prompt:

Andre's favorite fruit is the banana. What is yours and what do you like to have it in (cakes, bread, chocolate, etc.)? Got any good recipes?

While there are several fruits that I enjoy, my favorite one is apples and in particular applesauce. I really like putting a lot of cinnamon in it and just enjoy the flavor and the texture in my mouth.

I also know that you can use applesauce as a substitute for oil in a prepared box cake. It comes out pretty good, actually. You just replace the 1/2 cup of oil with a 1/2 cup of applesauce. There you go, and a few less fat grams to boot. It works with any flavor of cake, just be sure to use the unsweetened, regular version. Cinnamon only if you are going for that flavor.

Category 2 prompt:

Do you try to "buy local" or are the national products good enough for you?


While buying local seems to be a good idea, it is hard to do so on a fixed income. I like home-made bread, for example; but can live with "Bunny Bread" or even the store name brand. My palate isn't quite so picky anymore. I hear a lot about buying local, but the box stores have undercut the "mom and pop" stores by being able to have less expensive (cheaper?) goods. The economics of it are sad.

Category 3 prompt:

If you were a monkey, would you be offended by being linked with more monkeys and a barrel as always causing chaos? How do you normally cause chaos? If you lie and say you don't cause it, prove it.


Well, I'd like to think that if I were a monkey, that I wouldn't be offended. However, I cannot really know if a monkey would be offended at all, or by what. Chaos, if I have caused it, has certainly been unintentional. Do monkeys know if they are causing chaos? Equally unknown. I imagine that a barrel of monkeys could cause a lot of problems, especially if said monkeys were to escape the barrel. Otherwise, they would be contained, if not unbearably noisy. There now, I've written around 100 words to say, what exactly? That I have absolutely no idea if a I would be offended by being a monkey. LOL.
