20230206 Getting Paid

Well, I stupidly took on a writing assignment that I was sure I could do despite my current circumstances.

Yesterday I finished it after a month and a half.

I have ghost-written a 12k word autobiography/memoir. Short? Sure. It was about one very specific incident for a man about my age who wanted to let his kids and grandkids know about what happened to him, and he fears he will very probably not remember everything when they are old enough to ask what was what. Depressing tale, truth be told (the USA has some issues when it comes to health care!), but I did it, and he has taken the final edited copy and will be self-printing the copies for his family.

Well, now comes the issue.

He owes me money and has the money, but Australian and US banks no longer accept money from one another without insane fees and PayPal has banned me (and refuse to tell me why). I now have to work out how he can pay me.

Governments and banks - making life hard for everyone who earns less than a million dollars a year.
