June 17 - 23rd and Thankful Thursday 6/22
June 17th

Well, here I am, on week 3 of catching up. I have to say that the summer hasn't been too busy, but I've been keeping myself kind of busy with different things. I've been YouTube binging a channel about repainting Monster High dolls and transforming them into new creations. It's pretty interesting, and of course I would love to try it out. LOL. I know, I know, I should be too old for dolls - but really, are we ever too old? LOL.

Talking about YouTube binging...*Blush*. I have also been watching Dominic Noble and his series "Lost in Adaptation" where he talks about movies that have been adapted from books...the good, the bad, and the ugly. I find myself agreeing with him on a lot of his different opinions, and I really enjoy the fun that he pokes at some of the books/movies.

I guess this is the week of seeing my YouTube binging habits...This channel is were I've learned how to crochet. Jayda has a lot of energy and is very methodical and patient in her teaching styles. I've done some cool things, such as making Minecraft toys, African Violet motif turtles, and lots of Christmas tree decorations, as well as working on some blankets. I don't have near the amount of yarn that she does in her studio, but at one time, I'm sure that I was close to it.

The above YouTube channels are only just part of what I've watched/binged upon since coming back to Lubbock in 2022. I have fallen in love with acapella groups that I never knew existed, and lots of different styles of music. I would have surprised a younger version of myself, for sure. I always look out for new postings from the different artists, and I'm not above rewatching some of their older videos. Some of the groups are: HomeFree, VoicePlay, The Bass Gang, Jonathan Young, Caleb Hyles, Jeff Castellucci, Tim Foust, Avi Kaplin, Casper Fox. Just type their names into the YouTube search engine, and down a variety of rabbit holes you will go.

Hump Day! Hump Day! Just the name makes me smile, if not outright smirk. I'm not sure where the origin of "hump day" came from, but kudos to whomever. Looking forward to the weekend, as it will be the last weekend of my 56th turn around the Sun. Not sure how I feel about that, but it definitely beats the alternative *FacePalm* !

June 22nd and Thankful Thursday

Thankful Thursday is here again. Lots and lots to be thankful for:

Being alive
Being a Born again believer in God
To almost being "level 57" in the game of Life.
Making new friends
Keeping in touch with family
Having a nice home to live in with my kids.

June 23rd

The end of week 3 of 6 catch-up. Next week starts a whole new trip around the Sun (come Tuesday the 27th). I'm thankful for those who have prayed for and wished me well in my endeavors. My daughter got me another years' subscription to WdC for my birthday present. Too Cool!
