20231113 NaNo XV

Okay, the story did not progress today, plot-wise. I went back and added chapters that set things up for where the story is headed, clarifying things much better.

That is the joy of typing over hand-writing - I can just do that. And as a pantser, being able to add the foreshadowing later, now that I know where things are headed, is huge to be able to do. So I have thrown in a few more hints, added Adam's back-story through small snippets of exposition, made Raven more a part of the class, made the MC Kurt more open to the magic. I had Raven helping him at the very start of the story with a herbal remedy; now she helps him again, and gives him an amulet (well, arm stuck on thing) that helps him as well. So he is introduced to her power before seeing the big thing she can do.

Today was a catch-up day, and I still added a huge chunk of words.

I was also told off for being too depressing on the local NaNo Discord channel. I am not going to bother going back there. It's fine for the females to be depressed, but I am the enemy (white, middle-aged, heterosexual, atheist male). The NaNo forums made me feel like I was unwanted, now it's local as well.

So, WdC... you're it. You're my only social interaction.

Yeah, I know - not good.
