H1. "And the Moral of That Is" – The Duchess does seem to find a lot of morals in things, so tell us a non-fictional event that left you with a most important moral you’ll never forget. (<1000 words).


“No one can or will love you as much as you think you need to be loved. So love yourself as much you possibly can,” states the Duchess of Wonderland. “And if they don’t love you, well, off with their head!”

The Duchess has lived many a decade and learned this many years ago. She is determined to tell this to everyone she knows. She is the unofficial official therapist of Wonderland.

I myself have learned this over the years. I have loved and lost two husbands, many friends. My family is distant. So I have discovered that the Duchess is right. I have to love me. Because if you don’t love yourself first, then no one will love you. My mental health demands this.

And the moral of the story is:
Love yourself first before you try to love others.
