An Angel's Embrace

An angel's embrace from far above
Dressed in white wings full of love
A child who once ran free on earth
Waiting for her second birth

The first time she came down
Pain and anguish were her sounds
As those she called her family
Loathed her existence freely

Beaten into a slumped stupor
She begged the Lord to come and save her
She begged to be taken up into the sky
And with the angels she would fly

Now she waits for a second chance
Into childhood she prays she'll dance
For her soul is finally healed
And she wants nothing but to feel
The love she was once denied
As she walks next to her parents' side
