Something's Comin'
Here's a quick Thumbsucker update for those of you interested in Thumbsucker related dates...up or otherwise.

My Aussie mate VW and I have been busily tinkering around with something new and exciting. Nothing naughty of course. Shame on you if you imagined otherwise.

I just noticed "otherwise" is a rather strange word. I've always taken it for granted. "Other...wise". How odd when I actually think about it. I wonder how that word came about...but what's even odder is how it caught on in the first place. Somebody just decided to put two words together and make a new one huh? How about "Dipthistle"? That could mean someone standing in line when the "Use Next Checkout" sign gets put up. Or how about "Snugset"...which could mean an aerosol can that seems half full but refuses to spray. Oh oh. I'm rambling again. Sometimes I can be so poonwarded.

Like I was saying...VW and I have been working on a new superduper contest. I'm not usually into contests but I think this one should be different than most of the other ones out there. It will be live. Run, done and won within an hour. I can't say anything more about it at this time other than there'll be LOTS of doollywags, kruncks and minobbins for the little ones.

What else?

I haven't decided if I'm going out tonight or not yet. Wasn't that interesting? Think so? Probably not. I'll spare you the story about the popcorn crud that refused to pop then.

Actually...now that I think about it...I don't feel like talking anymore just now. How about I sit over there and let you do the talking for a change? Why should I hog the conversation all the time?

Go on. Don't be shy. Talk about anything you like. I'll sit here and pretend to listen like you do with me.

Hmmmmm. *Confused*

This isn't working out very good so far is it?

I know. I'll help you out a bit shall I? I'm psychic you know. Actually I suck as a psychic but I am a good guesser. How about I guess at what you'd like to say? Here goes...

Hi Thumb. My but you're special.

Awwwwwww shucks.

I like pleasant things. Do you like pleasant things too?

I suppose so. That's very nice for you. You must be very proud.

I also like some of the places I haven't been to yet. In fact I love those places so much I never intend to go there in case they're not as wonderful as I imagine they would be.

Are you talking about Cleveland now? I've never been to Cleveland either. I'm sure it can't possibly be as special as everyone says it is.

Shut up Thumb. This is my turn to talk remember.

Hey! I didn't guess you'd say that.

You really do suck as a psychic then don't you? I think my parents gave me crappy gifts when I was a toddler. I'm not sure though because I can't remember anything until I was four or five years old. I think they gave me the packaging and kept the stuff inside for themselves. How come clams only live underwater? Chief Wiggum has never replied to any of my letters. The Bastard. I'm never again going to see how many golf balls can fit in my mouth. Don't you love it when your neighbours go on vacation? Vacation neighbour backyards are the best backyards to bury stuff. I have to pee.

Oooooooooooooooooookay. I think that will be all for now thank you. This peek into your hidden thoughts has been...different. It warms my heart knowing you're a Thumb journal reader.

Bye bye for now.
