The straight lines I walk lead me away from you.
My feet sunk into a path that they could not escape.
I wanted to get out and run with you
run outside the lines which never seemed to apply to you.

Long the days since I saw you last
Empty the hours
The mud gets deeper
I can't get out to find you
but I doubt you would remember.
