I don't know what kind of President Obama will make, but I know what kind of President Bush has been and I don't want any more of it... that's partly why I can't hardly abide the Republican Presidential Canidate McCain. Oh please... in my humble opinion he's just too old, and his handler's are not doing a very good job.

I still have trouble believing that so many Americans were stupid enough to actually vote Bush in for a second term - thus really making it seem possible that Bush and his gang of thugs to have literally and physically have stolen the election... but then again if McCain gets elected that means that THE PEOPLE are actually stupid... scary!

It's true, our economy is in the trash.

Think about this: There is no way that regular unleaded gas prices should be changing almost daily... but somehow the powers that be have convinced us if the price of a barrel of oil goes up this morning by this afternoon the price of that barrel of oil is causing the price of gas to rise at the pump by this afternoon... hogwash!!!

The price of food is out of control... it takes diesel fuel to operate the big trucks that haul almost all produce, beef, chicken, pork and dairy across our great land. So why are diesel prices higher than gas prices? Tell me please, if diesel is less refined that regular old unleaded gasoline why does it cost more? And who were those people responsible for saying that diesel would always be cheaper than gasoline? Yep, that's what we were all told... and everyone was selling trucks and cars that ran on diesel - local state governments bought fleets of diesel run vehicles... now look... Diesel is running about .70 to .80 cents a gallon more than gas. I want to know who is responsible.

On the other hand, I'd like to think that we will all become better citizens. We will stay closer to home and to our family's instead of running off to the latest and greatest place for vacation. We can all plant our own Victory Gardens like our grandparents did during WWII. We can cut our expenses by driving less, eating less, living in the dark... and maybe we all need to cut our dependancy on Cable television. How much better would we all feel if we just stopped listening to the endless cruel senseless daily news reports about murder, mayhem, and madness.

I know I got corn growning in my flower beds... bell peppers, and an array of spices in containers.

I don't go to the grocery store near as often as I use too... and when I do I enjoy it less. Tanking up my car at the gas station makes me feel old... cause I can remember how less gas use to costs... America gets to elect another President... God help us... and it seems that common sense is all but lost... The Corporate world does not appreciate its workers... pensions are a thing of the pass... the message is we can all be replaced - easily. Us older folks know better... while younger workers may be cheaper - tossing out the older knowledgable experienced worker may reduce the bottom line on payroll but look at what's being lost. Crazy....
