I pulled the eight of swords this AM. Generally read as a negative card----a blindfolded, bound figure-----bound by one's thoughts. But ah---the Gaian Tarot-----a talking circle---turning your dreams into practical reality----a talking circle----reaching concensus----giving up ego.

Last evening attended a jazz concert featuring Randy Brecker----and then a greasy late night dinner at Waffle House----sublime!

Today is mixed clouds and sun----probably going to an early cheap movie and dinner later.

I'm so busy during the week----don't have time to blog or write-------but adore having most week ends free. I've signed up again for the Defining Poetry contest---hoping I'll be able to squeeze in time for writing. I learned a great deal the first round and began writing again..........I came in first the first round....so giving it a go again. Learning from the master poets that have come before is a wonderful way to develop one's own style and creativity.

I have a 45 minute commute to work each day and use the time to listen to books on CD. Currently "reading" Kathleen McGowan's "The Book of Love".....a novel about Jesus, Mary Magdalene, the Cathar heresy......better than the Davinci Code. I stumbled across this author in her book about the Lord's Prayer......hers is not an orthodox approach to Christianity...more Celtic, earth-centered, a feminine spirituality.

If time this week-end will go to Mama Ocean and pray.....
