I stare into the darkness

As I stare into the darkness,
An endless sea of sand,
I see something familiar,
In the broken hearts of man.

All looking at the dark horizon
They wonder what they see
Something calling to you
within a dark mystery.

If only our minds were open
If only our eyes could see

but then your just like me

We both stare into that darkness
and wonder what is there
will I take the next step closer
does anyone really care.

Although there's nothing but darkness
I feel it staring at me
calling me with open arms
like a welcoming darkened sea.

Is this where I am to go
a final chapter in this plane
Is our existence here that temporary
or am I just insane.

I turn away just for a second
I see you standing there
looking in the same direction
but you have no fear

A gentlel smile my way
gives me the courage I need
So put your hand in my hand
and together we both succeed
