Brittany Maynard
Prompt: Let's talk about Brittany Maynard's right to die decision. What do you think about having the choice? Is it the easy way out? Is it more important for the person to die with dignity?

I feel that if we commit suicide, we go against God. Preachers say if we commit suicide, we don't go to Heaven. This scares me. I was so sick with my bowel obstruction surgery and hernia, being on a breathing tube and learning to do things over again but I wanted to live. I hope I never get in so much pain that I want to take my own life or have someone do it for me. Working in health care, I have seen people in Nursing Homes suffer and think they would be better off not living but I feel this is God's decision. I have gone with the motto: "You never know what will you will do until it happens to you." I pray Brittany found peace and made it to Heaven. As for the word dignity, I never liked it. Grandma used that word on me when I didn't like or want to do something and made it sound like an insult or a bad word. I pretend the word doesn't exist.
