Santa Claus





Elves dance round


No time to fool around


The sleigh’s packed and ready for tonight





Everyone is waiting for Santa to take flight


His magical journey to complete overnight


Waving his hand, breaking physics laws





Taking off to elves’ applause

Trois-par-Huit is a poem consisting of three stanzas of 3, 3,and 2 lines or 3,2,3 lines. Eight lines total with a syllable count of 3, 6, 9, 12, 12, 9, 6, 3. The rhyming pattern is AAB BBC CC where the last line is the title of the poem and summarizes the meaning of the poem. These poems are center aligned.
