Winter Nights

Prompt: Winter nights. Write a poem, story or rant about winter nights.

Winter nights are cold and when it snows, the wind blows and whips the snow around. Snow does make a sound. When I leave for work on a winter night and if there is snow on the ground, the ground crunches. I should say the snow. You look outside and see the snow. It can also be a drizzling rain or freezing fog. Sometimes, you see a full moon shining down on the snow. All that is missing is a wolf. Some nights, I see a rabbit in the snow. Sleet and ice storms. The trees are beautiful with freezing rain on them but it is so slippery to drive on it. Winter nights. They chill you to the bone. I will survive.
