Day 15 Camping, Fun Time

Prompt: Halfway through the month happily sleeping in a real bed enjoying the lodge's menu selection, too! It will be a quiet evening in the lodge because of the thunder storms this evening. At least, we are dry!

Tomorrow, we are going to the museum of the Park Ranger, a bookstore, Norris Geyser and Steamboat Geyser on horseback. Lyn suggests we bring our cameras and comfy clothes. We will be having a bag lunch prepared by the lodge. We will be checking out Artists Paint Pots, too. What did you like best?

The dog days of summer are named for Sirius, the dog star, rose and fell with the sun during the hottest days. What nickname do you have for the hottest day? What activities do you avoid during this time?

I love the bookstore best. I have never been to a bookstore riding a horse before. It isn't as big as Barnes and Nobles but I found a romance book or two and a couple of adult stress therapy coloring books. The Geysers are okay but if you see one, you have seen them all. The museum had pictures of Yellowstone that were interesting along with the animal pictures. I bought postcards to add to my scrapbook. The Art place was pretty neat. I can't say I care for painted pots much. Tea pots would have my attention.

Nickname for the hottest day? None. I always say you could fry eggs on the sidewalk. I don't go outside much at home. If I had a gazebo, I would. I am a houseplant. Until tomorrow.
