August Back Packing Across Europe Day 1

Lyn says we are landing in Madrid August 2 and will meet at Las-Musas. We will be in Madrid until August 4 then we are off to Barcelona, Montpelier, Monaco, Florence, Venice, Vienna, Praque, Berlin, Hamburg, Amsterdam, Paris ending in London. Hope you are ready for an adventure.

We take the Red Eye home on the 30th.

We are staying at hostels. We are packing our back packs. Have you ever done this before? What do you think they are like? Have you traveled I Europe before? What was it like if you have? What are you hoping to explore?

I am packing three suitcases and my faithful back pack from the Yellowstone Trip. I am taking twenty outfits. I hope I can wash clothes somewhere. I am choosing jewelery, make up, nail polish, bath and body soaps, shampoo, my own wash rags and towels, shoes. I am taking medicines, medical cards, tooth brushes and toothpaste. My bags are heavy. I feel I have packed all my lifelong possessions. I was told I didn't need to take this much but I need all this.

I hope it is like an American hotel. I imagine there is more then one floor. We may have 4 or 5 to a room. I hope these rooms are big. I hope they have good food. I have never been to Europe but I have heard the 3 Dog Night song there times in the past week. "I Have Never Been To Spain." This sticks in my mind. I can't wait to see Paris, Italy and England. Germany. I don't want to see any German Prison camps. I would be nervous. Is there any way I can sneak off to Bath, England when we are in London? I want to see Jane Austen's birth place. Oh! I want to see fashion shows in Paris and see art galleries. I won't be going to a bull fight. I will set the bulls free! Do you still want to take me along?
