The Prophecy of Agnes

The Kingdom of Heaven .. .

Agnes looked at the Moon as she aligned her
shuttle for the transition to hyperdrive.
She felt her heavy guilt for the genocide
of the Moon ant people.
But, her strong will to prosper kept her
focused on the future.

"I'll never get used to this." said charlie.
He squinted at all the dials and buttons on
the console in front of them.
"There's a rattle in the left thruster."
Charlie stated and did a diagnostic.
Agnes smiled, "The harmonics are too high."

She reached over Charlie and made the adjustment
on his console...
"How many trips did you make hauling waist to the Moon?"
Agnes queried.
"I was a garbage man before you were born." Charlie smirked.
"I remember solid liquid nitrogen boosters." he added and
strapped into his seat.

"I can't imagine what that was like." Agnes smiled and began
the launch countdown.
"And I saw the Heavens fold up." she was quoting Revelations.
The shuttle lifted off the orbiting Earth space station.
An artificial wormhole appeared before them, folding up the stars.
"Will be on Mars in twenty minutes." Charlie said ..
There were 600 thousand Martians on Mars Earth Base One.
