No Sleep for this Writer

Well, that isn’t exactly true. I did get a little bit of sleep last night. It just that I didn’t too much of it. In fact, I only got about three hours. Don’t ask me why because I don’t know. I just couldn’t get to sleep. Who knows why I didn’t get any sleep. Maybe it’s because of the Short Story that I needed to get done today. Then again, maybe it’s because of work. After all, this is the weekend. Which probably means I might be working some OT whether I want to do it or not.

It’s not that I don’t want to do any OT because I do. I just don’t like to be surprised about it. Of course, it’s not too much of a surprise with this job. After all, my last weekends at this post have been OT related. It’s not really whether I will get it this weekend. It is how much OT I’m going to be getting. I hope it’s not going to be too much. Then again it could turn into a double shift or close to one. It all depends on when my replacement shows up if they show up at all.

What does all this have to do with my writing? Nothing. Despite my lack of sleep and my probable OT, I have gotten quite a bit of writing done today. In fact, it has been a very good day for my writing. I got my Jessica Strong Short Story done. Not only that, but I have gotten the WDC formatting done with it too. Now all I need to do is transfer them to my novel folders but to make them look like my Word Document. The title and the word count have already been done like my Word Document. I just need to do the body of my short stories now.

I should get them in by tomorrows deadline. I’m just not sure when that will be. It might be about an hour or so after midnight WDC time or it could be an hour or so after eight AM WDC time or somewhere in between. That all depends on my OT situation tonight. I’m hoping to get out of here real soon, but if it’s anything like last Saturday night Sunday morning it won’t be. It’s about ten twenty-five WDC time as of this writing right now. So, I don’t have too much time to wait to see if my replacement will get her on time.
