Day 22 - Setting: Definitions List

Esout
         The origin of the Esout Empire; a land known for a harsh divide between rich and poor, with the rich in palaces while the poor live in the slums

Wesnorh
         A country rich in tradition and pride in their heritage, but is wary of outsiders and change

Norland
         A country who intended to remain neutral in the conflict

Wesout
         Esther’s home country; a country promised a peaceful alliance with the Esout Empire, but was ultimately conquered

Esnorh
         A country split into loyalist and rebel factions after the suicide of their most recent matriarch

Esout Empire
         An empire originating from Esout; spans five generations; almost the entire southern half of the continent is under their control

Esnorh Rebellion
         Rebellion fueled by pride of national identitiy and distaste towards submission to the Empire; mostly consists of the lower class citizens of Esnorh

Soutland
         A country neighboring Esout; provides “recruitments” for the imperial army

Forced recruitment
         Esout loyalists often recruit citizens of the empire into the imperial army against their will; methods include blackmail and kidnapping
