The Day After Christmas
The Day After Christmas
It's the day after Christmas and all through the house,
Every creature was stirring including the catnip mouse.
The artificial tree was shedding all over the floor,
and DC, my cat, was trying to get out of the door.
My nieces and nephews were at home with their folks,
Mother was working and praying for big tokes.
I'm writing this poem and trying the rhyme,
While somewhere police are hoping for less crime.
