Running for his life
v
Scallop Running

Running
far from my life
trying to escape my dreams
nightmares from full moonbeams
running

The Dark One

the dark one
looks out on the crowd
looking for victims
of his dark magic

looking for people
who need his magical help

and are willing to pay the price
knowing that all magic
comes with a dark and terrible price

the dark one smiles
a sardonic smile
remembering when he
was an apprentice magician

so many years ago
before he killed the previous dark one
and assumed his awful powers
and became immortal

an awful curse
that haunted his life
ever since he became
the dark one

he looked out at the crowd
saw that he had a mark
went up to the young man
and sold him his magical cure

the man
down on his luck farmer
was willing to pay the price

they all were willing to pay
and the dark one
grew stronger
with each sale

but the dark one’s heart
had grown black
with all the evil
he had committed

and the dark one
had out lived
all the loves of his long life

the dark one
consumed the dark emotions
of his victims

and grew less human
as the years went on

until there was nothing left
but a hard black rock
where his heart once lay

the dark one
wanted to die
but was too much of a coward
to face death

as he died
day by day

Running for his life

Running for his life
being chased by demons
led by his crazed wife
hideous monster daemons

being driven towards the pits of hell
satan himself chasing him to the pits of hell
He continued to run for his life
being chased by his demented wife ’

Little Willie’s Demon Rum

Little Willie liked his demon rum
he was only 12 years old
but his heart was so cold

Little Willie drank his demon rum
with his heart so cold
as he drank his rum
he fondled his stolen gold
