What is repentance?

Repentance means not doing what you have done in the past. I believe we all have some sin that we cannot or will not let go of. I know I do. I believe God will forgive us for these things.

Prompt: "If you were to describe yourself as a tree, what kind of tree would you be? What do you see as your life cycle as a tree?"

I would imagine a lot of people would see themselves as mighty, majestic oaks. However I do not. While I can see some of the traits of the oak in myself, I tend to see myself more as a hickory. I have longevity as proven by age and my life is certainly full of nuts. I have weathered many storms and tend to leave a little flavor if I am burned. I consider myself strong yet I have the ability to bend. I think some of my friends would say I can be a little shaggy at times.

"Prompt: Write about the stars."

People speculate all the time as to whether there is life among the stars. I doubt that there is. It would seem to me that if there was intelligent life beyond Earth that we would have found it before now or they would have found us. On the other hand the odds of there not being other life in the universe seems incredibly small. It is a big universe. Traveling the breadth of it would take eons. So there is legitimate argument either way.
