Fibro fog, pain, writing sandwiched in between. Quotes. Sermon notes. Encouragement. |
A Texas Sunrise![]() A friend, William Taylor, took this picture. He visits Surfside Beach with his dogs almost every morning, watching the sun rise while the dogs prance about at the water's edge. This is only about ten miles from where I lived in Lake Jackson, Texas. Sadly, I only visited this beach about four times in the six years I lived nearby. Each day is a challenge. A challenge to get by without thinking about the fibromyalgia pains. A challenge to stay awake when chronic fatigure wants to take over. And a challenge to navigate through fibro fog. I haven't been writing as much as in the past. For years, I wrote at least 500 words a day. Now, I'm lucky if I write 500 words in month. Sigh. For more information about what my day (or life) is all about with fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, chronic pains, IBS, depression and everything else thrown in, check this out:

More prayers, please. Hubby is being a horrible patient in the physical and occupational rehab facility. He doesn't seem to understand that if he can't walk on his own, can't get from the bed to the potty alone, that he might have to stay in the nursing home attached to the rehab place. Or we'll have to pay for full time help at home. His retirement fund would disappear in 2 years. And I will be forced to sell the house. All because physical therapy is difficult. He doesn't understand that spending is month in a hospital bed at our age means that he has lost about 30% of his muscle strength. Our 1960s built home has doorways too narrow for a wheelchair. ![]() "My Favorite Neighbor" "Sharing Sunshine...It's What I Do!" "Admirable Women" "Whose Work Are You Stealing?" Things are looking up. Hubby was released from the hospital today. He's now in a nursing home/rehab facility. Continued prayers are cherished. |
Hubby is still in the hospital. After I chastised him for not allowing some tests, he let them put a scope down his throat. They found one source of bleeding. A bleeding ulcer in his esophagus. They stitched it up last Friday. Today, he started vomiting blood. He will soon be back in the operating room. Please continue to pray for our family. ! |
Romans 8:28 NKJ And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. Or as mom and grandma used to say, "Everything happens for a reason." Jim's adopted daughter visited with him yesterday in the ICU. He probably didn't know. And she talked with me at length on the phone. We hadn't had any contact with her in years. Yes, I initiated it. Please pray that both Jim and I are healed soon so that we can enjoy our 5 grandchildren who we have never yet met. |
