I don't carry mine around when I'm home, but it gives me peace of mind when I'm out and about.

, I use the computer more than my phone.

I gave up on my landline even though it is handy for emergencies as ♥HOOves♥

pointed out, because it didn't work most of the time and Verizon stopped providing service for it (yet I still had to pay for it, until I eventually just cancelled it).

Cell Phone, yessss! Although I do work on the computer more.
I am so sick of the landline, for the unknown and scam calls-which AT&T does nothing about, but we had it in every room from the beginning and it is a safety measure when I am alone in the house.

I love and need my cell phone. Now that I have texting on it, I wonder why we didn't do it before.

I also wish we never got rid of the land line because having Verizon go out this past week, tells me that a backup cell phone (or land line if possible) is also needed.

I never thought I needed a cell phone, but an unhappy wife who'd been unable to reach me during an unusually long return trip home from my mom's house on the other side of town changed that. I use mine more for texts than calls, and also the occasional photo. I mostly count it a blessing, although there are times it presents an annoyance I could do without.

It reminds me of California Dreamin by the Mamas and Papas, but I know there is a Simon and Garfunkel song, too.

I keep thinking of Simon and Garfunkel's song, "April, Come She Will" and hoping that spring is around the corner.

Florida sounds like a nice, warm place to be this winter. I hope you are about done with the snow events!

Six Interesting Facts About Me:

1. My father was in the Air Force and we moved around a lot. We lived in Maryland, Arizona, Tennessee and Arkansas. I have lived in 17 different houses in my lifetime. We lived by country singers Bobby Harden in Tennessee. He had a sister Arlene who was famous in Nashville. We lived next to Nashville. On the other side, lived a General who was MacArthurs private physician in the war. One day, General MacArthur's wife came to visit the Generals wife. Mom was good friends with the Generals wife. The General was a grouch. My grandparents came to visit and we saw Loretta Lynn in person and she had a rodeo. I got to get her autograph and talk to her. She was so nice. We saw her shopping at JC Penney shopping in Nashville the next day. I met the Base Commander. He was nice.

2. I was an only child. I found out I had a sister when I was 42. She came looking for us. I love her but we are as different as day and night. She is Dad's daughter. She lives in Florida. We have visited her and she has visited us in Indiana. I accepted her. My parents, our father is dead but we still keep in touch

3. My parents and I saw JFK in person and the astronauts Grissom and Young. Mom was friends with country singer Bobby Bare's sister. When we lived in Arizona, my mother took me to Tuscan and she was looking at Peter Brown and I wandered off. Alan Hale of Gilligans Island, picked me up and took me back to my mother. I was four years old and have no memory of this. I love the Skipper.

4. I have been married 42 years. We live in a farming community. I call it Green Acres. I have a son who is a Psychologist and his wife works in mental health. I used to work in nursing. My husband has an auto repair shop. Arizona Charlie was a card player and traveled with Wild Bill Hickocks Show. He was a relative on my father's side.

5. I am part Cherokee and Apache and 2 other Native American DNA. I am part English and I love Jane Austen, Downton Abbey and I loved Queen Elizabeth, Princess Diana and I adore Fergie and William and Catherine.

6. I love animals. I have a cat. I have 2 published books. I am a writer at WDC and a Creative Scrapbook Designer.
