Inevitable suffering.

I've never understood why life must de facto, contain suffering. If people around you do unpleasant things, or you do unpleasant things then yes the world will have it's share of suffereing. But to start from the basis that you will suffer is completely the wrong way round for me.

Why can't you have a system based on 'if everyone behaves properly then we'll all lead nice fulfilling happy lives'?

Why should we aim to beat our chests, throw on the sackcloth and ashes and bewail the suffering of the world, when we could in fact make it heaven ourselves?
