But did you learn English before being sent into a school system in which the primary language is English? Did your family come over legally? My point is that it is difficult on the children of immigrants who are unable to speak the national language. I would feel the same in their position, were I to move to Korea I would be completely at a loss, I have no concept of the language and would probably fall behind. Many immigrants, especially illegals, have little to no education past high school, and find it difficult to find such good jobs as your family was blessed with.
