Not my view, but just for debate;

We all agree that any immigrant wanting residency in our great nation should speak English.
Good. It’s a good rule.

And they should celebrate Columbus Day with the rest of us no doubt.

He spoke Italian didn’t he? But I believe he wrote his journals in Spanish.
It’s a good job the English speaking rule wasn’t around then.
