Sensory entertainment

I was delighted to be introduced to a snippet of C.T.'s story telling, nose first! It got me thinking about the senses and how engaging your reader's senses enhances their enjoyment of your writing. For instance, the food in the Harry Potter books makes me salivate!

Poetry writers can try one line per sense, but the short story writers amongst us can try to incorporate all the senses in a flash fiction of no more than 500 words (tough, eh?)

Write
Write a flash fiction about a day out. The day out can be anywhere and in any genre, just be sure to engage your reader's senses in your descriptions.
