A warm welcome to our newbies; come meet new and not-so-new members of Writing.Com! |
I know writer-holic isn't a word. It doesn't even sound very catchy, but these introductions always make me wonder about the AA. I don't really consider myself a writer, though I do write a lot. I mostly do a thing called 'floomadiddle'. Floomadiddle is a thing my brothers and I would get in trouble for when we were kids. Floomadiddle basically means nonsense. So you can imagine any dad might get a little frustrated with four kids talking nonsense to him non-stop for years. "Dad. What if the lampposts all started chasing us home?", "If your face was a skate park, where would you put the half-pipe?", "CUT. It out with the FLOOMADIDDLE"- much like that. He was quite fluent in Floomadiddle himself, though. Still to this day, even after he's gone, I find myself questioning how fast the Earth's spinning for fear we'll all fly off. And so I write Floomadiddle. Silly stories, little rhymes, silly little rhyming stories. But now I am interested in what others are writing. I only really read very old books. I want to know what other people are writing right now. I also want to talk to the authors. Praise this website for I am given that rare opportunity to see what's going on in other people's minds. (Hopefully). In conclusion, I am very new to networking websites like this. Please, help me out. Thank you. Probably, Payj. |
