the culture is irish or celtic. Aki, the main character and Tin, her fellow... slave?, serving partner? are both not born from that race. aki is what is called a Blade. the deadliest of assasins because they are a sort of jack of all trades in the fighting world. it is in her blood to be one. blades are not taught but born. Tin is an orphaned son of the royal guard so his devotion to aki is only natural.
the language that is spoke in that land is irish geilic. the culture is modified to the desert. they plant saguaros on their rulers graves.
