Letter From Home for Christmas - Contest

Even though I write this I will never know to whom I wrote or any other information. but I know that you are sacrificing so many things to protect others from danger. It is easy for anyone to ask to sacrifice one's life for the country but only the person who does it knows how hard it is as he or she is another human being.I live in a tropical country and I can imagine how hard it is for anyone to work in the cold and snow missing one's loved ones and missing the joy, happiness and coziness of a beautiful home surrounded by one's kids and wife or husband.
I am married and with one son and I treasure my son like my eye. I know there are others in my son's age who sacrifice all the sweet dreams of youth just to protect a border or a plot of land but some things are beyond our control and only God has the power to stop them. War is one of those. So my dear soldier! wherever you are or who you are I wish you a merry Christmas and a safe journey home.
