Noticing Newbies

Hey, my name is Emily Morgan. I'm new to this site, and recently new to the world of writing. I had my first book published just 2 months ago. I'm 16 and a sophomore at my high school. I play sports and have tons of friends, but I really love to write. Sadly, my friends do not share this interest with me. When I try to talk about a piece or story I am working on I am instantly shut down, so I never get any real opinions or help on my work. I would love to just have friends to talk to about writing and even someone to help me with editing and my weak points. Honestly, the only people who have ever helped me with my work our my English teachers and there is only so much they can help with when they are so busy. Really looking forward to reading everyone's work and getting help with mine!
