Goals: This week, I'm starting a new course from "The Great Courses" called "The Art of Reading." I'll do three lessons per week, about 30 minutes each, and write a paper about them. I'm going to start rewriting an older short story of mine using what I recently learned about characters from Orson Scott Card. That should take a couple of hours a day. I'll read at least an hour a day for pleasure to see if I can cut into my stack of novels waiting for me.
Update: Started the course, spent three hours writing the essay after watching 1.5 hours of video lectures. Started working on the short story rewrite, not actually writing but remapping it. Lost some time getting car maintenance done. Finished reading a novel that I need to write a review for and I read about characters an hour per day.
I'm in four classes right now and should have planned time for those. That was another six hours this week.
