Something practical huh? That's a matter of perspective. For me, practical is being financially smart, starting out small, always having a backup plan, buying my clothes at thrift stores or Wal-mart rather than going to the mall, growing your own food and choosing quality over quantity, choosing to work for what you want, rather than instant satisfaction by taking the easy route, to be a tortoise rather than a hare. But again this is my idea of practicality, while my sister thinks it's pragmatic to jump head first in and go-go-go without stopping and smelling any kind of roses. It depends entirely on what kind of person you are. My suggestion is to look around at people you know and your own life experiences, look at what's helped you and what's held you back, maybe who's given you the greatest support. if I were to write a self-help book , it would be about all the lessons I've learned from my father. But that's just me. Or i would do a self-help for veterans, that would be cool, go down to the local VA and get some testimonies on things that helped them get back on their feet or something like that. but again this is just me. Do what interests you, even if you don't know a lot about it at first tha's what research is for, or get someone who does know a lot about your subject and interview them extensively. |
