A month-long novel-planning challenge with prizes galore. |
It is totally a brainstorming assignment. I got this idea for this from K.M. Weiland. She has a very good article on using the what if question here: https://www.helpingwritersbecomeauthors.com/what-if-two-most-powerful-words-in/ But, if you don't want to go to the link and read (which no big, I understand), here's my take on the what if. What if is something to build on. For example in my own story: What if a young girl found out she was half fairy? What if that discovery led her to a new land? What if there's a big, dangerous family secret? What if she has no friends? What if she really wants friends most of all? What if she'll do anything for a friend? And so on... It's a jumping off point. This isn't meant to tell your whole story, but to help you expand on the possibilities that could exist within your story world. Let your creativity go with this one. No judgements on the what if. That's for later. Right now, just imagine what if... ** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only ** |
