Re: Meditation curiosities

I have meditated daily for over 25 years. I find in most circumstances, it is quite helpful. It has helped to relieve my stress, reset my way of thinking, calm me down, and give me a general feeling of peace. Delving even further into meditation, I have actually had OBEs (out of body experiences) and found that some form of astral travel is possible (this isn't as crazy as it sounds). I have found in my inner studies that meditating in nature with only the sounds of nature benefits ME better than doing so in a building or with most music. BUT, when my Bipolar is flaring in either direction, meditation is not enough in and of itself to rebalance me, tai chi did not help with that either, so I rely on my meds in those instances. I suggest to anyone to find what works best for YOU and go with that. Sometimes, it's a journey.
