My point was that I would feel like something is unresolved, but I felt like something was unresolved when Princess Leia rescued the one-armed Luke Skywalker from that antenna beneath the floating city and they flew off in the falcon to nothing but closing credits, all right after Darth Vader dropped the bombshell that he was Luke's father. The cliffhanger (antennahanger?) served its purpose, because my butt was in the seat (along with the rest of the completely stunned world) when Return of the Jedi was released.
