I wasn't trying to lecture you on CRISPR or whatever. I was just trying to... well. Doesn't matter.

As for popularity, it's empirical. If you ever see BoM mentioned on forums, you'll see praise for Seuzz, Rugal, Imaj. And all of them deserve it, of course. And now you see Seuzz, Rugal, Imaj, Nostrum. I mean, it's visible. And you deserve the praise you get too. But it does sting my ego to not even be in the conversation.

The real killer was, and this is true, I met someone who mentioned BoM. Didn't know I wrote on it. And they were saying how great those writers above were. And when I said I wrote on it, they guessed those names, in that order. And that just reminded me where I am in the order of things. So I often feel there's no damn point to having written >100,000 words of stuff here. I've got about two books' worth of narrative content. And I know people aren't into it. And that just hurts.

That's the end of the pity party. But it's why I feel so awkward doing a round robin, and also why I haven't bothered posting up the lines I've already done.
