Harris is a bit more notorious because Will's often in conflict with him. Martha, on the other hand, is extremely supportive. On the stories where Harris is crucial to the story, he's often a victim, and rarely a participant. It's very hard to try and convince Harris to put on a mask because he doesn't need to, compared to Will; the same goes with Martha, but seeing her as a victim is much harder. Martha has some relevance when Cuthbert is involved because of her familial ties to the Shabblemans. It's already established that she took Will and Robert to Cuthbert once to spend time with the cousins and they didn't like it. Furthermore, there's her cousin Priscilla, who has appeared in certain storylines. However, the stories in which she has been replaced haven't advanced much. One of the ideas I wish to see (or even explore) is having all of the Prescotts participate in masking - arguably as some sort of witness protection arc of something, where Will tells his family about the masks and the threat they face if they live their lives. It could establish a different view on the family dynamics, for one - especially if, as part of the protection, either Will or Robert have to turn into girls. |
