"Note: Review of An Unwitting Prince: A LitRPG Adven..." So, Audible lists this as a different series from the other 2 books I reviewed. The other series was called Life in Exile and this one is called New Home. But Amazon says it's the same series. TBH, it seemed the same to me. If I hadn't known it was a different series, I wouldn't have known and I didn't know until I was looking at how many were in the series on Audible when I was writing the last review. Weird an annoying. Anyway, there's 1 more in this series (whether you consider it a new series or not) called The Tempermental Enchantress. I'll be listening to it, then close April down since the next book, I assume, will be about Sara since the one I just reviewed was about Jackson, the son, the next one is about Mira, his older sister, so surely the next book will be about Sara. All of the family members were in this book, so again, no idea why it's a new series or why it's named for Jackson's situation. In fact, Mira and her dad end up in a dungeon having to fight each other, so that seemed a bit significant', IMO. And Sara was almost kidnapped and she ran off to help an elf. Not to mention, during her transformation to a regular game-type character (though the people of the world don't see themselves that way) on her 10th birthday, she almost died and she's clearly becoming much more of a predator since she's taken on the dungeon drake as a monster friend. She's also created a new flower friend from some enchanted wood. So, while there was a lot to Jackson's storyline, I can't say that he would have been the 1st one I would have named as who the 1 main character of the book was. Whatever. Anyway, aside from the annoyance of the name, I am enjoying this series. Part of me will be sad when I'm done with the last one. Though part of me will be glad because I REALLY need to go onto other more academic stuff. lol Also, I hate that the series is likely not finished, so who knows when/if I'll get back to it? Oh, well...  |
