With a sudden gust of wind, the shutters burst open. The whirl of the wind almost sounded like a woman laughing.

Could the mystery ball be haunted?

A punch glass seemed to be abruptly thrown into a marble pedistal.

What a scene! One attendant rushed to get the attention of hostess Queen Fuzzy, while several other attendants raced to see to the shutters and the broken glass.

Were they not quick enough? Another punch glass sped across the room in a fury, nearly knocking the cow costume right off the head of auric.
