(This message was edited by storymaster on 06-01-03 @ 1:07 pm EDT) Recently, I haven't been able to get on Stories.com that much, except for once or twice during the day. I've had exams to prepare for and some to take lately, and originally, I had 1500 ratings total, now I have 992 total. I understand some peoples ports get deleted and stuff, but it doesn't automatically mean we have never rated those items. Is there any way to fix this decline, it's really hurting part of the reason I came here in the first place. Thanks. :) Greetings, I don't at all understand this statement: "it's really hurting part of the reason I came here in the first place." We're not eliminating what you learned by giving those reviews and ratings; just the number. If you came here to get a high number, you'll need to remember we're "Writing.Com" ... not "accumulate-high-numbers.com". In reality, I don't think anyone wants to pay the extra fees we'd need to charge if we kept ratings on file forever, even after a member's account was removed. That data all needs to be kept somewhere. If the a "high number" is a huge part of the reason you came here, you'll need to accept that it's a "rolling number", not forever cumulative; to keep it "higher", you'll need to stay active and involved in the community. Hopefully for us, most of our members are here to learn and improve their writing while meeting others interested in the craft of writing; this is not at all related to how high a number someone may have. Take care, ~~SM [edit for grammar]
