Wow..if there is one thing I know about it is leg/bone pain but mine is(was) from a horse accident 24 years ago. And I'm now pain free because I just had that knee replaced. So..my pain was different from what it sounds like you're going through now, but I'll give you my opinion and hopefully someone will throw in any ideas they have.

Here's my suggestions:

1.I would suggest making sure you are drinking those famous 8 glasses of water each day. Your joints need that water.
2.Make sure you're wearing good shoes if you're on those feet for a long period of time. I know we like to wear just the right shoe to fit the outfit, but the feet and knees pay for it.
3.Try support nylons.
4.My menopause bible says: Connective tissue aches and pains have a variety of causes. Some of them include:
a.Nutritional deficiencies
b.Repeated trauma to cartilage and connective tissue
holds joints together(as in pianist's hands and
fingers)
c.Repeated strain causing microscopic tears in the
connective tissue around joints and tendon sheaths
(like carpal tunnel syndrome)
d.Inflammatory reactions to these connective tissue
strains due to prostaglandin imbalance secondary
to dietary choices (like to much milk and meat and
not enough foods like omega-3 and omega06 fatty
acids.
e.Lack of physiological cortisone responses to check
the inflammatory reactions.

Then it says:
This is where progesterone comes in. Natural progesterone has anti-inflammatory properties that the synthetic analogs do not have. Many, many of my patients using natural progesterone cream report relief of chronic aches and pains, and other doctors have also reported this to me. You can rub progesterone cream or oil directly on the joint or tissue that hurts. I do not have a good explanation for why this works, but the consistency of the reports makes me believe it does. Here is another excellent opportunity for research. John R.Lee,M.D. What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Menopause.

I hope some of this information will help you. Maybe someone else can help out if they're going through this too.

jane:)
